Sawasdee Krab (hello)! When we announced the Thailand 2016 convention we announced that we would be visiting Bangkok, or as it is called in Thai, the City of Angels. However, what we did not announce is that this trip will be dual destination! In addition to visiting the City of Angels, we will be getting in some sun and sand time as well. After three nights in Bangkok, we will fly about 500 miles south to Phuket, Thailand!
Visiting both Bangkok and Phuket will allow you to experience the wonderful juxtaposition that is Thailand. In Bangkok you will have the opportunity to ride “motorcycle taxis”, frequent busy street markets, explore The Grand Palace, visit ancient Buddhist temples, shop at one of the 10 largest malls in the world, cruise the Floating Market, and many more experiences that we will highlight in later emails.
However, Phuket is far removed from the crowds and energy of Bangkok.
Phuket is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. It is home to the Phi Phi, or as you might know them, the “James Bond” Islands, world class beaches (with a water temperature of about 82 degrees), and crystal clear reefs for diving or snorkeling. Phuket is the kind of place where you can sit back and relax on the beach for the day or you can pick an adventure of riding an elephant, diving a beautiful reef, kayaking around the James Bond islands, or cruising the island on a moped, depending on your preference for the day. You will love Phuket!
Watch your email on the coming Mondays as we will be releasing more details and spotlighting different features of both of these destinations in the coming weeks and months. We look forward to seeing you in Thailand!
